Be honest...what was your first thought when you saw this picture? Where did you think it might be?
Well, if you thought ski lodge you were right! However, I doubt it was. The above photo (and below) are from the Lapiaz Restaurant which is part of Javalambre Ski Resort in Teruel, Spain. Imagine walking around in your ski boots, sitting down at a modern table with friends, and ordering a cafe o le'. I know I'm having a hard time too. Living in a VERY traditional ski town where the lodges are covered in tapestryed carpeting, wall to wall granite/marble in the bathrooms, and gigantic pine log beams, it's hard to imagine jumping into the 21st century. But it's growing on me...
